Convention means educational classes, hanging out with our buddies, a Saturday night party, a wonderful trade show, and much, much more!

For the past ten years, our team has been in charge of creating the set and photographing members at the party. Members and friends can then purchase 5x7s from the event to benefit the PPNC Scholarship Fund.

This year’s party theme was “The Yellow Brick Road”, with the Band of Oz performing and lots of hilarious posing in front of the yellow brick road mural (created by our very own artist Megan Olson)!

Karen was very entertaining as the Wicked Witch!

Print competition is always a crazy, nerve-wracking time for photographers. We put what we think are our best images out there to be judged to see how good we really are! Sometimes the results bring joy! Sometimes not so much…

However, once again, Irresistible Portraits fared pretty well in this year’s competition. Karen won awards in three different categories!

For the third straight year, Karen won first place for a wedding album.

Well, we may be small in number, but we are BIG in heart! We have been giving Christmas to needy families for 4 years. This year we took it to another level. KNUMC adopted 27 families and 60 children! I know, amazing!!

All the gifts were lined up in the pews- one pew per family!!

All the gifts were chosen especially for each family. Some gifts were badly needed. We realized that one set of parents had been sleeping on the floor. We knew that we had to get them a bed.  One family needed a dryer- they had been drying their clothing with a blow dryer.  Everyone was so appreciative!!

We also added craft time for the kids. While the parents were picking up their gifts and taking them home, the children were having a blast doing crafts and talking with Santa! The families also had a chance to visit our love pantry and choose items from our clothing closet.

We also wanted to sit down and have a meal just like family! So an awesome dinner of turkey, ham, and all the fixins was prepared! Over 300 people were fed.  Liberty Tax donated the turkeys and The Varsity smoked them all! $750 in Food Lion gift cards were also donated. Mind boggling, isn’t it?

One of our members, Tony from The Frosted Butterfly, decorated & donated some beautiful cakes! Check out his handiwork!

There were so many folks who made this event possible! Donna Coone and her son Brian were the leaders who brought the vision to life! Lots of people volunteered to help put bicycles together, deliver furniture, wrap gifts, teach a craft, cook, and serve food.

CMC NorthEast, Suntrust Bank, and Kannapolis Middle School teachers also helped make this Christmas memorable! Phidippides, Lee Clothing Warehouse, Forbo Seigling Company, and WalMart helped out with donations, too!

We all came together as the Body of Christ and carried out this ministry! God is so good and we are surely blessed!

Keeping with the vintage theme, a unique bouquet of brooches was created by McKenzie’s Aunt Shona. All of the brooches were given to McKenzie from bridesmaids, friends, and family! What a cool keepsake to have!

McKenzie was stunning! It was hard not to create incredible images of this beauty!

As you can see, there were awesome, beautiful bridesmaids surrounding McKenzie all day! They were lots of fun, too!

Let’s just get crazy! Don’t you just love it when the wedding party likes to play around?

We had so much fun photographing this fun group of people! We wish the new Mr. & Mrs. Jaymie Russ a wonderful long life full of love and happiness!

My good friend Courtney called me and asked me if I could photograph her grandma. They were having a birthday party for her grandma and she was turning 106 years old. Yes! That is right… 106 years young as we saw it! She was so sweet and so beautiful! All she did was smile the entire time. Since the family was gathered on this day to celebrate, there were special portraits that the family wanted for sure.

Some of our favorites were Courtney and her daughter Payton with Grandma. Look at those smiles!!

We really enjoyed meeting such a happy, pleasant lady! When I think about my grandma and all the lessons and great wisdom she shared, I know that Mrs. Fannie is a blessing to her family!  Lots of love was overflowing!

Family faces are like magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future.

Once again it was quite an honor for Irresistible Portraits to be able to photograph this special event! We have been photographing Kristi since she was a little girl. We also had the pleasure to get to know the Brawley family when we photographed Shawn’s sister Holly’s wedding a few years ago.

Kristi and Shawn are just down home folks and wanted their wedding to have that “down home country” feel. From head to toe, it was lace and boots, simply country! (Which we LOVE, of course!)

Kristi and Shawn are our kind of dog lovin’ people! So it was only fitting that they included their special girl Scooby to be part of their wedding ceremony! Scooby was the ring bearer- now how fun is THAT?

Whiskey River was absolutely the BEST place to carry out the country-western theme of their wedding!

Whiskey River is a replica of an old western town you would come across in that era. There is an old country church, a jail, a hotel, a saloon, and a bank. Of course, every way you turn is a photographic opportunity!

Krisiti and Shawn decided they wanted to enjoy each other privately for a few minutes before the ceremony just to be together and pray and say “I love you”! We let them do just that!

Even Scooby stole a kiss!

Karsyn was just being Karsyn! Passing out bulletins- we just love her!

The ceremony was in front of the little white church straight out of a storybook!

What a good looking wedding party! Lots of fun, too!

We just had to take a few portraits by the getaway truck. It just happens to be Kristi’s step dad’s pride and joy!

The reception was a whole lot of fun! There was great food by Doughgirls and entertainment and an awesome fun photo booth by Virtual Sounds. We just had to try the scrumptious cupcakes by MJ’s Sugar Shack and they were quite yummy!

We had so much FUN! Thank you Mr. and Mr. Shawn Brawley for letting us be there to create your wedding memories! Best wishes for a LONG happy life together!

October 6^th, 2012 was no different, except for the ball cap of course!  We believe that this was absolutely the BEST day of their life! Facebook statuses stated that Emily and Levi were marrying their best friends! Love it! Check below and see the smiles and snuggles!

Whenever you say Faith Lutheran Church the first thing you think of are the RED doors!  They are fun to photograph with!

The ladies were too much fun to play with and there was never a dull  moment!  These beautiful ladies were always ready to strike a pose!

Levi and the guys were just as easy going and fun! We just love it when we get to work with super stars!!!!

The reception was breath taking.  We did not expect anything less from Chelish Moore Flowers. All the flowers and decorations were simply amazing.

The reception was such a blast! We knew it would be before we even got there.  Split Second Sound was the dj and entertainment for the evening. They never disappoint! Erin Brown Rocks!!!

We would like to say thank you so much Emily and Levi for choosing Irresistible Portraits to create your special memories of the most important day of your life! We are so honored! Best wishes for a long happy married life!!!

The entire weekend was so much fun! The family and friends came together for the rehearsal dinner at the Red Fez Shrine Club on Lake Wiley. It  was such a beautiful setting to celebrate Kimber and Josh’s wedding weekend. After a VERY nice dinner a HUGE party broke out.  Many friends arrived later to complete the circle of friends wanting to be with this sweet couple on one of the most important days of their life. Believe it folks they have lots of friends.

You know we are all about the details!!!

As you can see Kimber’s wedding dress was breath taking. I think she blew everyone away when she walked through the church doors with her daddy!

Her wedding shoes were her “Something Blue”.

Our handsome groom Josh was very photogenic and easy to work with! Now the rest of the guys that is a different story!! Ha Ha! Just kidding! They were full of themselves and a lot of fun!

The flowers were so beautiful. Carey Roberts Design Co. did a great job! Carey, the flowers were absolutely stunning!

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is absolutely the most beautiful place to photograph! Irresistible Portraits took advantage of the cocktail hour and covered every inch of the garden!

Every little detail was planned and was so perfect! We were sure to not miss a thing!

The party was definitely a fun time. The entertainment could not have been better. Split Second Sound kept everyone on the dance floor and having fun all night long.  Be sure to check them out!  They are so good at what they do.

We were so honored to have been chosen to photograph for these two families. We always walk away feeling like we are part of the family after photographing a wedding. This wedding was no different! We are so blessed to be part of this family and we love you guys so much!!!
